PIII GR Corolla Brake Cooling System
The PIII GR Corolla Brake Cooling System has been developed for drivers who want to push their Toyota GR Corolla harder, whether on fast road, mountain driving or track days.
The OEM braking system is capable, but once the car is used repeatedly at higher speeds and higher brake temperatures, its limits become clear. Brake bite can become less consistent, pads wear faster, and disc temperatures can rise to the point where durability becomes a concern.
Our system addresses this in a simple, lightweight and highly effective way.
Inspired by the type of control-arm brake cooling guides used on high-performance cars such as the Porsche GT3, each PIII duct captures airflow passing underneath the front suspension arms and redirects it toward the inner area of the brake disc. This feeds fresh air toward the disc ventilation path, helping the brake disc manage temperature more effectively under repeated hard braking.
The design is intentionally simple. There are no hoses, no complex ducting, no drilling and no permanent modifications required.
Each duct mounts directly to the OEM front control arm using our integrated fixing channels, which guide the supplied zip ties securely around the part and the arm. The result is a clean, stable and reversible installation that can be removed in minutes if required.
Why brake cooling matters
Brake temperature control is not only about preventing fade. It also has a direct effect on pad life, disc life, brake feel and consistency.
Lower disc temperatures help reduce thermal stress, making the discs less prone to cracking during repeated high-temperature use. They also help the pads operate in a more stable temperature window, reducing excessive wear and helping the braking system remain more consistent over a full session.
With OEM brake pads
The factory GR Corolla brake pads are designed to work across a wide range of road conditions, with good cold performance, acceptable noise levels and everyday usability.
However, during repeated hard use, especially on track, they can be pushed beyond their ideal temperature range. By improving airflow to the front discs, the PIII Brake Cooling System helps reduce the risk of overheating, improves temperature stability and can contribute to longer pad life.
With performance or motorsport brake pads
If you already use, or plan to install, higher-friction aftermarket brake pads, brake cooling becomes even more important.
Performance pads generate more braking force, but also more heat. While modern high-performance compounds can tolerate higher temperatures than OEM pads, keeping disc and pad temperatures under control is still essential for durability and consistency.
Improved cooling helps extend pad life, reduce disc stress and lower the risk of cracking, especially during repeated high-speed braking zones on track.
Installation
The PIII Brake Cooling System is designed for direct installation on the OEM Toyota GR Corolla front control arms.
No ducting, cutting or permanent modification is required. The integrated fixing channels keep the zip ties properly positioned and allow each duct to be securely anchored to the control arm.
The system is fully reversible and can be removed in minutes.
