PIII GR Yaris MAP Sensor Cooling Duct Kit
The PIII GR Yaris MAP Sensor Cooling Duct Kit is an engineered OEM+ solution developed to eliminate a hidden heat-soak bottleneck on the Toyota G16E-GTS engine platform.
After intensive development and analyzing the exact cooling strategies used by Toyota Gazoo Racing during 24-hour endurance racing at the grueling Nürburgring, we created a direct-fit duct that prevents ECU-induced power cuts without compromising vehicle safety or reliability.
Unlike raw open prototypes that expose critical electronics to the elements, the PIII Cooling Duct uses a sealed, aerodynamically optimized design that shields your sensor from weather while delivering a continuous stream of ambient air. The result is stable sensor temperatures, consistent engine output, and maximum performance during hot track days or hard road driving.
Main benefits
- Prevents power drops by keeping MAP sensor temperatures well below critical thresholds
- Integrated water separation aerodynamics protect electrical components in heavy rain
- Reverses power degradation caused by factory heat soak across the G16E-GTS platform
- Constructed from high-strength, chemical-resistant automotive PA12 material
- Lightweight, sleek OEM+ appearance that matches the factory engine bay styling
- No permanent modifications or bumper removal required for installation
- Effortless mounting to the vehicle chassis using only a single bolt
The Problem: G16E-GTS Heat Soak & Power Loss
The Toyota G16E-GTS engine platform features a built-in safety calibration that directly fights track-day performance.
The MAP sensor, located on the throttle body, acts as a heat sponge, triggering ECU power cuts when temperatures exceed 55°C (131°F). This issue affects both stock and heavily modified engines.
The PIII Cooling Duct uses CFD-engineered aerodynamics to shield the sensor from water while providing constant, ambient cooling air.
